Wolf Brother – Film Trailers

Mr Marsh | April 3, 2011

Wolf Brother Trailer (avi)

Wolf Brother Trailer (wmv)

Is this a  good trailer?

  1. What age range do you think the film is aimed at?
  2. What images are used and how do they persuade you to watch the film?
  3. Which images are the most powerful?
  4. How does the music make you feel about the film?
  5. What is important about the text that appears in the trailer?
  6. Which piece of text is the most persuasive?
  7. Finally, how would you improve this trailer?

Finished the questions?

Now take a look at your plan – What are you missing? What must you add to make it more effective?

Use the internet to gather images you could use in your trailer.

Start to write what text (or voice over) you will use in your trailer.

Next lesson we will use these to start making our trailers!

Learning about Rivers

Mr Marsh | March 2, 2009

The painting we are studying this term is set on a very famous river in France. The Seine runs for 482 miles from the Alps mountain range, all the way to the English channel – cutting the capital city, Paris, in half!

As part of our Geography this term we are going to be studying The Seine and other rivers like it around the world. Before we do this, take a look at the following website – how much can you find out about rivers?
